Americanism Essay Contest
The lodge participated in the 2008-2009 Americanism Essay Contest. Several applicants from Swink and La Junta sent in Essays. Thanks to all that participated. We selected 6 winners, 3 in each division. In the 5th and 6th grade division we selected Leah Roberson, Regan Cox, and Whitini Oquist. In the 7th and 8th grade division we selected Lindsey Tatum, Sarah Tatum and Jon Gossman. Although none of our entries that were sent to the higher level placed high in the judging, the lodge chairman is excited about the 2009 - 2010 yeaar!
